Weekend with Courtney Part 2

Sunday morning Courtney and I woke up and headed to church. The van load of people was supposed to show up sometime right before church started. I could hardly contain my excitement. We ended up taking Rosie, on of the Blessing House children, with us to church. Right after we got sat down and the first song had been sung, Dawn's daughter came and told Courtney she was needed outside. Shocked is the only word to use in describing the look on Court's face. In fact, I am quite certain there were even a few tears.

The whole group (excluding Courtney's Family)

Dawn and Courtney

Courtney took ASL (American Sign Language) when she was at Sinclair Community College. She has put it to good use serving at the home. Some of the children are legally deaf so it has been a blessing to know. Dawn, right side in above photo, does not know ASL but was pretending to use it.

Waiting for a car seat to carry inside.

The home had been in great need of car seats and bottle liners. So the text message Carrie sent out also asked for donations to help purchase these things. The response was amazing! We were able to take down 14 car seats and around 2500 bottle liners. God is good!

Some of the seats.

It takes lots of soap, toothpaste, and lotion in the Angel House

Plus many toothbrushes

A pose from the past!

A dear sister/friend! <3

Courtney gave and excellent tour of the Home for everyone. While we were in the Blessing House James, pictured below, decided to lock Courtney and one of the other VS girls into a room. His facial expressions were quite humorous, and he had all of us laughing.

Please keep Courtney in your prayers. Working with special need people can be a difficult task. I was just down there again this weekend (post coming soon). Also pray for Miss Carrie Boone. She is leaving on april 13th to serve. They are living out what God has called us to do in taking care of the least among us!
