Food For Bangkok

Wednesday night we went to a church and helped make food to send to the flood victims in Bangkok. As most of you know they are dealing with some intense flooding. I was too scared to drive all the way there so I went with Rachel and Cindy in the van. Everyone who went on the motorbikes stayed until 4AM. The rest of us went home around 9:30. In the end we sent around 2500 meals! When we arrived at the church they were still cooking the food. They wanted it to be as fresh as could been when it got to Bangkok.

All the containers waiting to be filled

This was some sort of lime something...it smelled amazing

Cooking away...it all smelled yummy...what I tasted I did not really care for though

Fish

Seasonings...with a bee on them

Washing the meet

This little girl and her mama (Photo below) were so sweet. They taught me how to play a new game. All of the food we buy comes with rubber bands around the containers. The game is that a band is placed in the middle of the table. Everyone sits in a circle and has their own rubber band that they blow. Who ever gets their band on top of the one in the middle, without going over, in the least amount of blows wins.

Its really quite fun

Aspen giving it a try
